The Joint Emergency Medicine Exercise (JEMX) 2024 was a training event held at Fort Cavazos, Texas, from June 1 to June 15, 2024. The primary objective of this exercise was to enhance the combat readiness and joint interoperability of emergency medical personnel from various military units by providing them with realistic combat casualty care training.

During the exercise, Louisana National Guardsmen from Golf Company, 2-238 General Support Aviation Battalion, played a crucial role in the training sessions. Among them was Sgt. Cecil Fairchild, a critical care flight paramedic. Sgt. Fairchild was responsible for demonstrating the capabilities of the UH-70 Black Hawk helicopter to Dutch military members who were participating in the exercise.

The UH-70 Black Hawk is a versatile utility helicopter that is widely used by the United States Army for various missions, including medical evacuation. It is equipped with advanced features that enable it to operate effectively in challenging environments, making it an essential asset for emergency medical teams during military operations.

The training provided during the JEMX 2024 exercise was designed to simulate real-world scenarios that emergency medical personnel might encounter during combat situations. The training included various aspects of combat casualty care, such as trauma assessment, life support, and transportation of casualties.
