Construction of Kuri -Gongri bridge to complete by end of March

The Kuri-Gongri Bridge is a new bridge that will be constructed along the Gyalpoizhing-Nganglam Highway in Bhutan. The construction of the bridge is expected to be completed by the end of March 2024, bringing much-needed relief to commuters who currently face long traffic jams and delays on this busy highway.

The bridge will span over the Kuri Chu River and will connect the towns of Kuri and Gongri in southern Bhutan. It is expected to reduce travel time between these two towns by up to 30 minutes, making it easier for people to commute to work, school, and other destinations.
